Our Story
Huntsman Taxidermy was built on the same values that make a good hunter: patience, respect, and the drive to do things the right way. For Colton, the outdoors has always been a second home. Years of hunting taught him to pay attention to the details — the grain of a rack, the character in a hide, the story behind every harvest. That eye for detail naturally led him into taxidermy, where skill and respect for the animal go hand in hand.
As his interest grew, Colton committed to doing things professionally. He completed formal training and earned certifications through Taxidermy Tech, one of the industry’s leading programs. That education sharpened his techniques, deepened his understanding of anatomy and form, and reinforced his commitment to producing work that honors every animal.
What started as a personal pursuit quickly became something bigger. With Bonnie’s support, Colton put in the long hours, learned the hard lessons, and built Huntsman Taxidermy from the ground up. No shortcuts. No mass‑produced mounts. Just honest work and a commitment to doing the job right.
Colton handles every mount himself, start to finish. From careful skinning and prep to the final touches that bring a trophy back to life, he’s hands‑on with every step. His approach is straightforward: treat every animal with respect, honor the hunt, and deliver a mount that stands the test of time.
Today, Huntsman Taxidermy serves hunters across Southern Indiana and beyond who want craftsmanship they can trust — work built with care, precision, and the kind of pride that only comes from someone who lives the lifestyle.
